Sweepstakes Coins (SC) are the most popular virtual currencies at sweepstakes casinos in Canada. Itâs easy to understand why, as these free SC coins are redeemable for real prizes. You just have to satisfy a few conditions.
Weâre here to show you the top CA sweepstakes casinos where you can claim SC bonuses. To give you some early insights, our best four are McLuck, Cider, Rolla, and WOW Vegas. You can check out the primary promos they offer on the banners of this page, and keep reading to learn more about SC.
If you join sweepstakes casinos in Canada, youâll find two virtual currencies: Gold Coins and Sweepstakes Coins. The first, GC, is just for fun and entertainment and nothing more. However, when you play with SC and satisfy all requirements, you can redeem them for real prizes, including gift cards, cash, crypto, or others.
Since theyâre redeemable, itâs no surprise that many CA sweepstakes players prioritize SC promos. The good news is that such offers are generally free. At the legit sites we reviewed, you canât buy Sweepstakes Coins, but you can purchase GC packages with free SC bonuses. That said, getting a GC package is completely optional.
We claimed free SC on many CA sweepstakes sites and used them on casino-style games. The brands feature slots, table games, social live dealer titles, instant win options, and more. Therefore, regardless of your preferences, youâre sure to find something of interest to play with your SC.
Without wasting time, letâs reveal our top Canadian sweepstakes casinos for free SC rewards. If youâre in an eligible province, these are the sites to choose from:
Coming up first is McLuck, a sweepstakes casino with a multi-streak-based daily bonus. On this site, you can get SC for free every day you sign in to your account. All you have to do is tap âClaim Nowâ when the daily login rewards window pops up.
In our first week at McLuck, we received a total of 1.9 SC and 10 SC free spins over seven days. The rewards are progressive, so you have to log in consecutively to claim a grand bonus on day 7. If you keep the streak for 14, 21, or 28 days, you get an even bigger reward.
McLuck will give you 2.5 SC and 7,500 GC as a welcome bonus when you register. With these Sweepstakes Coins, you can play more than 1,500 casino-style games of different types. Our favorites are Backyard Grill, Gold Panther Maxways, 7 Seats Blackjack, and Knock Knock.
At Cider, you can expect free Sweeps Coins from giveaways on its social media pages. From our checks, the sweepstakes casino is most active on Instagram, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter). Just follow the official handles, and youâre eligible to participate.
We recommend Cider Casino because its giveaways often include relatively large SC amounts. In one instance, we saw a 10,000 SC giveaway to 500 players, meaning 20 SC per person. The requirement was simply to subscribe to the YouTube channel and drop a comment. Other regular giveaways involve answering trivia questions and solving puzzles.
As a new Cider sweepstakes casino player in Canada, the sign-up bonus offers 0.3 SC and 20,000 GC. Once you claim it, you can then follow the brand on social media for the giveaways. For gameplay, we suggest checking out Wild White Rhino, Zeus Power, Single Deck Blackjack, and Oasis Poker.
Rolla is one of the best social casinos in Canada that follows the sweepstakes model and offers SC. The brandâs welcome bonus is 10 Sweepstakes Coins + 500,000 Gold Coins, which not many other alternative sites can match. You donât need a promo code to qualify for it.
Based on our Rolla review, you can claim the 10 SC welcome bonus after completing your profile and verifying your ID. The first simply requires filling out a form. For verification, however, you have to upload a valid ID document and take a real-time selfie.
Rolla also offers daily rewards starting from 0.20 SC. After claiming these Sweepstakes Coins, you can use them to play 900+ casino-style games. We tried various titles on the site, and our top picks are Clover Castle, Fortune Gems 500, and Shadow Summoner Egypt.
Signing up with WOW Vegas gives you access to a progressive SC jackpot. It has four pools, Mini, Minor, Major, and Grand, which seed at 5 SC, 200 SC, 2,000 SC, and 10,000 SC, respectively. At the time of our review, the Grand pool was almost 130,000 SC.
You can opt in to the jackpot on any casino-style game on WOW Vegas. When you do, 0.10 SC from every play you make goes into the prize pool. Then, you can randomly trigger any of the four jackpot prizes during your sweepstakes gaming sessions.
At WOW Vegas, you also get one of the best welcome packages among sweepstakes casinos in Canada. The brand offers 5 SC and 250,000 WOW Coins (equivalent to GC) over your first three days. We checked the WOW Vegas game lobby and had fun playing Eye of Medusa, Mines, WOW Giga Match, and Gravity Roulette.
The best CA sweepstakes casinos we recommend provide SC via several promotions. Here are the most popular 10, so you know what to expect when you register:
The welcome bonus is the reward you receive for signing up. As such, itâs usually the first SC offer youâll grab. In our experience, most sites give between 1 and 5 SC, and only a few like Rolla offer 10 SC.
Some players refer to the welcome offer as a free Sweeps Coins no-deposit bonus because it doesnât require an initial payment. However, sweepstakes casinos donât support deposits at all. A better term is a no-purchase bonus.
This promo involves buying a GC package with a free SC bonus. Remember, itâs entirely optional. However, if you choose to, you can sometimes get more virtual currencies for a lower price.
For example, we found a 200% extra first-purchase promo on WOW Vegas. If you go for it, youâll receive 1.5 million WOW Coins + 30 free SC for $9.99 instead of $29.99.
As the name suggests, you get this bonus for logging in to your account every day. We consider it the most frequent way to accumulate SC.
In most cases, daily bonuses increase if you maintain login streaks, with a larger bonus coming on the last day. To illustrate, here are the SC rewards we collected over seven days on McLuck:
| Day | Bonus |
|---|---|
| 1 | 0.10 SC + 200 GC |
| 2 | 5 SC free spins |
| 3 | 0.20 SC + 400 GC |
| 4 | 0.20 SC + 400 GC |
| 5 | 0.20 SC + 400 GC |
| 6 | 0.20 SC + 400 GC |
| 7 | 1 SC, 6,000 GC, 5 SC free spins |
Note that if you miss a day, you have to start afresh.
Although not too common, we often see SC free spins and free plays at some new sweepstakes casinos in Canada. The difference between them and regular SC is that theyâre limited to specific games.
For instance, you may receive SC free spins to play a particular online slot. On the other hand, a site can give you SC free plays on a blackjack or roulette title.
Depending on the sweepstakes site, you may see missions, challenges, or quests. Theyâre all related in that they award SC rewards if you complete tasks. From what we saw, the missions usually include playing certain games, hitting multipliers, or performing other on-site activities.
WOW Vegas is one sweepstakes where we found regular missions. The brand features 10 daily tasks, and youâll get a bigger Sweepstakes Coin reward if you complete all. Our first mission on the site was to spin a total of 100 SC on slots.
When it comes to tournaments, itâs all about competition. You opt in, play the supported games using SC, and score points based on your performance. If you finish among the top players on the leaderboard, youâll receive a share of the SC prize pool.
From our findings, CA sweepstakes casino tournaments are often daily or weekly. As an example, we spotted a 24-Hour Power Play competition with a prize pool of 6,000 SC on McLuck.
Hereâs a promo where you claim SC by referring friends. To participate, you have to share your unique link or code with others to register with. Afterward, you get the referral bonus if they satisfy the qualifying requirements.
Most referral programs usually tie rewards to GC packages. Take Rolla, for instance. The brand gives you a 25 SC bonus if your referral purchases $100+ in GC bundles, but it remains optional.
Under sweepstakes rules, legit sites have to offer an alternative method of entry (AMOE). The most common option is that you get free SC by sending a handwritten mail-in request. We often see mail-in rewards between 1 and 5 SC at sweepstakes casinos, and hereâs whatâs obtainable on our top sites:
| Sweepstakes casino | Mail-in entry bonus |
|---|---|
| McLuck | 4 SC |
| Cider Casino | 2 SC |
| Rolla | 3 SC |
| WOW Vegas | 3 SC |
We can confirm that most new social casinos in Canada applying the sweepstakes model are active on X, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. To engage players on these social media networks, the brands usually offer SC giveaways.
Already, we selected Cider sweepstakes casino as an ideal site for these giveaways. If you participate and youâre selected as one of the winners, youâll be asked to drop your registered email or ID in the comments. Then, the sweepstakes casino will add the SC reward to your account.
The best CA sweepstakes casinos have VIP programs to reward consistent players. Based on our observations, you often join the loyalty scheme automatically after registration. As you play with SC (and sometimes GC also), you climb to higher tiers.
You can get Sweepstakes Coins as level-up rewards once you achieve a new rank. Also, SC can come as exclusive promos, birthday bonuses, and other special offers.
Each Canadian sweepstakes casino brand has its own conditions for redeeming free SC for real prizes. However, it often comes down to these three criteria:
No sweepstakes casino will allow you to redeem free SC immediately after claiming them from promos. You have to use them on games, and the playthrough requirement indicates how many times.
Judging from our reviews, the most common is just 1x. Therefore, if you play with your SC at least once, you can redeem the resulting Sweepstakes Coins from your sessions. That said, weâve also seen some sites that ask for up to 3x.
Before submitting an SC redemption request, you need to accumulate a minimum eligible SC amount. In our experience, the figure depends on the real prize option. Itâs usually 10 to 50 SC for gift cards and 50 to 100 SC for cash prizes and other potential options.
Finally, sweepstakes casinos require you to verify your account to redeem real prizes. This step is mandatory to confirm your identity, age, and location. For context, the sites operate in Canada under promotional laws, but they often exclude a few provinces. Therefore, you have to prove that youâre in a supported province and above the minimum age to play.
Here are the usual documents necessary for account verification:
| Stage | Documents |
|---|---|
| Proof of identity | Government-issued ID such as a driverâs license or passport; sometimes plus a selfie |
| Proof of address | Utility bill or bank statement not older than a few months |
During our reviews, we noted that SC usually supports all titles in a sweepstakes casinoâs collection. These are the main types of games youâll find:
| Game category | Types |
|---|---|
| Online slots | Classic slots Video slots Jackpots Megaways Hold & Win |
| Table and social live dealer games | Roulette Blackjack Video poker Baccarat Game shows |
| Arcades and instant win games | Crash Plinko Mines Scratchcards Dice Fish shooting games |
We donât recommend playing a new game with Sweepstakes Coins from the start. Per our expertise, itâs better to use your Gold Coins to test the title and understand how it works. If you find it good enough, you can then switch to SC mode.
Furthermore, always play responsibly with your Sweepstakes Coins. Set session limits and take breaks once the time elapses; you can resume later. If you choose to buy optional GC packages for free SC bonuses, also apply purchase limits.
Below are the upsides and downsides of claiming SC bonuses at sweepstakes casinos:
From our guide, youâll agree that claiming free Sweeps Coins comes with several benefits. First of all, you donât have to make any initial payment to receive them. You can use the Sweepstakes Coins to play slots, table and live dealer games, plus all other available titles.
The main downside is that SC often appears in smaller amounts compared to GC in promotions. Nevertheless, thatâs because theyâre redeemable for real prizes. You can redeem eligible SC for a gift card or cash prize once you play with your Sweepstakes Coins, reach the minimum limit, and verify your account.
If youâre ready to start claiming SC, choose a top sweepstakes casino from our list. Then, tap on its links on this page to visit the site and register.
